ReplicaThe Yenikapı 12 (YK 12) shipwreck was uncovered in 2007 in the course of salvage excavations at the Theodosian Harbor; one of the most important Byzantine harbors on the Marmara coast. The shipwreck was lifted after in situ recording and placed in fresh water pools of Istanbul University Yenikapı Shipwrecks Research Center, where their full scale drawings of the hull members, cataloguing and documentation were completed.
